Who's Behind This

I'm Marisol Vance, and I've spent the last twelve years working weddings in and around the San Gabriel Valley, mostly as a day-of coordinator, occasionally roped into full planning when a friend of a friend needed one more favor than I meant to agree to.

This site started as a set of notes I kept for myself between events, because the same handful of problems kept showing up in slightly different costumes: the timeline that everyone believes is real until about 10am, the seating chart that turns into a family negotiation, the rental invoice that costs more the simpler everyone tries to make it look. Eventually the notes got long enough that they seemed worth putting somewhere other than a phone.

This is not the site of a company you can book. I'm not taking on new clients through this address, and nothing here is written to sell a package. It's a working notebook about how weddings actually run, written by someone who is usually near the exit with a headset on, not near the dance floor with a glass of champagne.
